The Lord is my shepherd.I am never in need. (Psalms 23:1 GW)
The latter part of this verse is contingent on the first, in order for me to "never be in need" I must be willing to follow or respond affirmatively to the call of my Shepherd. The Shepherd is loyal to His flock and has given us His word that He will "never leave us nor forsake us". It is the responsibility of the sheep to trust the shepherd and thus follow him with out questioning his direction.
My on reasoning is faulty and short sighted but when infused with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I'm now equipped to make decisions that will always lead me to "green pastures" of abundance.
